Best way to detox your body?

Body Detox

msyticalluna asked:

I have been reading that a great way to clean your colon, reduce free radicals and increase your energy level is to detox your body from anywhere from 10-14 days. Does anyone know of any great ways to detox and get rid of toxins in your body?

  1. Your liver is all the detox you need. All those other things are basically gimmicks that throw off your electrolyte balance. Eat healthy and exercise, don’t take too many medications or drink too much, and your liver will do just fine detoxing your body. As a further boost, eat yogurt, healthy oils like olive and canola, and artichokes. These are all foods your liver loves.

Addition: DQTink–that’s just eating a healthy pure diet. That’s exactly what I’m talking about. If you don’t put crap into your body, your liver is healthy and does all the detoxing for you. And see how great that diet made you feel? You don’t need to do crazy fasts or colonic treatments.

  2. Thanks, ck. Your advice was good for me too! =^)

  3. Detox helps the body to get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. I feel much better and have much more energy. My immune system improved so I did not get cold since I started with cleansing. My first choice was Wild Rose but next year I decided to try something new.

    Good luck!

  4. The liver can’t do it all unfortunately. I went on a great detox for 1 week. It was tough, but I did feel a lot better. It relieved stress, helped me lose 2 pounds, and I had a lot more energy! It also helped with clarity at work. I generally felt good.
I only ate fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. I didn’t anything from a box or frozen. (No perservatives or other ingredients that aren’t natural). I didn’t eat any sugar, but as little salt as possible. No alcohol, soda, juice bought at a store, caffeine, meat, dairy, eggs, or yogurt! It does have good bacteria, but it will defeat the purpose of a detox. During detox you should also avoid highly alergenic foods such as nuts and wheat. Many people are only slightly alergic to foods and don’t notice a difference until they don’t eat it for a week. Eat a lot of whole grains, pasta, etc.
It sounds very restricting, but it’s only one week and the affects last for months! I do this every 6 months.
I also took a supliment shake - but with a non-dairy drink like soy milk. The cultures in milk have a lot of toxins! I would be aware of what’s in the shake, a lot of times they make them sugary - it should have all the vitamins you need in a day!

Btw - I’ve been doing this for over 2 years and since then i’ve never gotten sick aside from the occasional headache and outside allergies! I used to get a cold about 3 times a year, and a terrible flu once a year.

Ck: I eat very healthy and still do a detox. The average person doesn’t eat half as healthy and even I can’t always avoid “crap food.” Detoxs really work side by side with the liver.
